I think it’s about that time, folks. Time to unveil a brand new series to brighten up your week. Ever wonder what life would be like on the road? To be able to throw responsibility out the window, put the pedal to the metal, rubber to the road, and live free? Have you ever stared enviously at a long line of bikers riding by in a pack, wind in their hair, leaning back with their legs stretched out in front of them, wondering just where they came from? Well that’s what I’m here for!
Being a biker is very near and dear to my heart. It’s something that I am very passionate about for a multitude of reasons. I don’t think there is anything on Earth that can match the rush of riding free on a motorcycle…at least not the prolonged, sustained rush of riding for hours at a time. For me personally, it serves as a spiritual escape. It offers a glimpse of God’s creation like no other. You can’t even compare it to riding in a convertible. It’s just not the same. Having sheet metal wrapped around you severely limits your view – it’s not like you can look down and see through the floorboard.
I’ve started a misguided effort to introduce the common person to this rugged way of life. I’ve given you my playlist that I created to get my mind right before I ride. I have also noted my affinity for the “low five.” Have no clue what I’m talking about? Don’t worry, I’ll lay out all the details in the coming weeks and/or months (depending on how this works out). Now it’s time that I get it together, get my thoughts organized, and answer all of your questions.
I will use this forum to explain things about the biker lifestyle to the common lay-person. I will relate the biker way. I’ll explain the terminology. I will list the different types of bikes and point out why they’re not all created equal. Lay out the reason that you get to gaze in awe when seemingly hundreds of bikes go roaring by. And I will let you in on some of the dream destinations for bikers.
So grab some sunglasses, throw on a helmet, strap on, and hold on loosely. It’s gonna be a long ride.
Consider this just an introduction. If you have any specific questions regarding this topic that you have always wondered and would like to have answered, then email me.
Thank you, that is all.
